Sample Project Description

System

San Diego City Schools recently awarded CEI a $5 million, two-year contract to upgrade and improve the security system across the entire District's campus infrastructure. The work will entail updating the existing MDI system main security server, as well as expansion of the new OnSSI video surveillance system in order to provide a unified, fully integrated security system communicating across the District's Wide-Area-Network.  Additionally, all school sites within the District will undergo improvements in their video surveillance, intrusion detection and perimeter controlled access to afford greater safety, protection and a better learning environment for our City's students and faculty.

  Imperial High School

Imperial High School asked CEI to install the newly released Rauland TeleCenter VI School Communications system. The system provides a safe environment for learning - it is without a doubt the most advanced system specifically designed for the communication and life safety needs of K-12 schools.  Unlike other systems designed for the business environment, Telecenter VI is designed around a VoIP network and provides a single integrated school-focused solution that combines all the internal and external school communications you need with key life safety features − this is the only unified, completely integrated single system available today capable of meeting every one of the school's communication demands.

Steelecanyon High School

The Rauland-Borg Telecenter IP organizes and manages all multimedia content within a single system and from a single web interface for this new high school in Rancho San Diego. Digital content from a variety of providers, along with analog material including VHS tapes and DVDs is available to everyone through out the school. With Telecenter IP, every projector, TV or workstation (Mac or PC) becomes a powerful learning center.

South Chula Vista Library

CEI was asked to design and specify multiple systems for this innovative, state-of-the-art branch of the Chula Vista Library System. Fire alarm, security/access control, closed-circuit television, structured data cabling, local (LAN) and wide area (WAN) networks to bring internet and multi-media materials into the facility for patron use, PC-based Library Information Retrieval, and document security/theft deterrent systems were all incorporated into the design.
